Sunday 28 September

The Substation and Footscray Community Arts Centre present Grace Barbé’s The Afro Sound of the Seychelles – a Kultour touring event.

Seychelles islander Grace Barbé soulful music reflects and celebrates the diverse cultural influences of her Indian Ocean heritage (African, Indian, Asian and European). A fusion of tropical island rhythms with African percussion, pop, jazz, reggae, rock and Latin flavours, Grace’s ‘Afro-Kreol’ sound is original, fresh and energetic.

Blending traditional rhythms with a modern pop sensibility, Grace’s music demonstrates a natural and unforced fusion of cultures. Great things can be expected from Grace Barbé as she brings Afro-Kreol to world stages!

Be sure to join Grace at The Substation for this very special one night only performance.
