Big Names Appearing for the Inaugural Event

Two days of non-stop music, onsite camping, 2 stages

In an exciting collaboration, Chugg Entertainment and Rob Potts Entertainment Edge have announced great news for the iconic Deniliquin Ute Muster famed site.

The Deniliquin Ute Muster has long been on the local calendar as the “must go to” event. Now comes the exciting news that the site will become a regional event centre, with a new musical event announced for the facility next year. Michael Chugg and Rob Potts will work with the team behind the Deni Ute Muster, Deni Play on the Plains Festival Ltd to hold the Deni Blues & Roots Festival at Easter 2013.

The fabulous first time two day event will be held Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday with headline names including Santana, Steve Miller Band, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Isaak and more on March 30th and 31st.

Making the announcement, Michael Chugg said, “We’re so excited to bring this new event to Deniliquin for the first time. This is an area with a strong tradition of bringing people together for a good time and with the calibre of acts on this line-up, they won’t be disappointed.”

CEO of Rob Potts Entertainment Edge, Rob Potts said, “To make a successful festival you need a great site, access to lots of people, world class staging and infrastructure and a killer line-up of great international and local talent. The inaugural Deni Blues & Roots Festival at Easter on the famous Deni Ute Muster site brings all of these components together over one million holiday makers and locals take a break and play on the Murray and Edward Rivers. We’re always excited about building a new festival, especially when everything seems just right for the occasion.”

Chugg and Potts have worked hard along with Deni Play on the Plains Festival Ltd Board and staff when they announced their plans to run the muster site into a broader entertainment complex from earlier this year, saying its implementation would depend on government funding for site improvements. Funding which was confirmed earlier this year by Regional Development Australia.

Matthew Lazarus-Hall, CEO Chugg Entertainment said: “The inaugural Deni Blues & Roots Festival is an exciting new event for us to be a part of, having worked on a number of great festivals over the years that are staged around the Easter long weekend, we know that this is the perfect time of year for people to get away from their busy lives for a few days and enjoy some great live music.”

Camping facilities will be available on site from Good Friday 12pm till Monday 12pm April 1st. VIP tents will be available for 2 man or 4 man tents in a special area called Tent City. The VIP tents will be set up on site and made ready for people upon arrival.
