    The Flying Saucer welcomes back one of Australia’s finest blues musician’s, RUSSELL MORRIS. Russell and his band will be performing songs from his ARIA award winning album ‘Sharks Mouth’, his most recent album ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ as well as a number of hits throughout his vast musical career.     Big Daddy Wilson is making his debut at the Saucer this March and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Big Daddy Wilson’s music is all heart and natural soul. With his fabulous warm baritone voice and phenomenal guitar playing, he draws from a wide stylistic spectrum consisting of blues, folk, soul and gospel. Pencil this one in folks as it is not to be missed!

    Standing almost two metres tall, delivering gut-wrenching vocals like an instrument all its own, few people forget a Mike Elrington performance. Now, after 15 years and 7 full length albums, Mike offers up his first completely acoustic LP, TWO LUCKY STARS. The album is 14-track snapshot of some of Elrington’s finest work to date. The big man of Australian blues music has crammed a stack into his 30 plus years so far, but the best surely lies on the horizon for this talented singer/songwriter and terrific live performer. This show will deliver a heartfelt and eclectic mix of blues, roots, folk & swamp-rock.

    Bob ‘bongo’ Starkie- guitarist from the engine room of the legendary Skyhooks is back! This upcoming show sees not only a new band line-up but also a swanky new costume for Bob. Joining the band will be the remarkable Lisa Edwards from the John Farnham Band on lead vocals, Steve Williams (sax/harp/percussion) who also toured long-term with John Farnham, James Black from Mondo Rock & Rockwiz (keyboard and guitar), Sean McLeod (drums) from Taxiride and Kim May(bass). Get ready to bust a move on the dancefloor groovers as Bob Starkie and band bring you a whole bunch of Skyhooks favourites such as ‘Livin in the 70s’, ‘Horror Movie’ and who can forget the classic ‘Women in Uniform’!

    We welcome an all-star line-up of acclaimed performers to celebrate Marc Hunter’s music. Featuring the talent of MICK PEALING, ROGER MCLACHLAN, BILLY MILLER, ALEX FORMOSA BAUDO, MICHAEL OLIPHANT, MIKE DOYLE, NIKKI NICHOLLS & TRACY KINGMAN. This special event has been masterminded by Alex Formosa Baudo, a very close friend of Marc’s, who also organized the highly successful 2013 show to commemorate Marc’s 15th anniversary since his untimely passing.

    The theme of the show is centred around songs that Marc sang and wrote, interspersed with affectionately recounted stories, anecdotes and the legacy that this very much loved artist has left us, since passing away in 1998. A newly recorded and released LIVE album containing songs from the Communication set list can be purchased at the show. This special tribute to Marc Hunter is likely to sell out, so grab your tickets early folks!
