    Some early morning diners were forced to flee a coffee shop at this address as fire quickly engulfed the premises.

    The Alarm level was raised before appliances were on scene and was raised again once they arrived.
    Twenty appliances and a number of Senior Officers were on scene at the height of the fire. The Fire took just over an hour to control.

    There were a number of evacuations of nearby residences as a precaution. An investigation this morning will occur to determine the cause of the fire.

    The building 20mx50m has sustained extensive damage which is expected to exceed 2 Million Dollars.

    Bay Street is currently closed and local residents are asked to close doors and windows to their properties.
