2010 Massoni Chardonnay

Colour: Yellow straw with green tinge around the edge still young at this stage and should age well.

Nose: Aromas of lemon curd, grapefruit and biscuit on the nose.

Palate: Citrus, buttery hints give way to good solid Chardonnay fruit.
The mid palate is clean crisp with good acid to clean the palate leaving a solid mouth full of well made wine.

Conclusion: This wine drinks well now but will benefit from a year or two bottle age, still just a little green at the moment.

Food: The wine is young at this stage but with its buttery mouth feel and youthful green acid I enjoyed it with prawns that had been steamed with sliced ginger and garlic.

Served with a crisp green salad and crusty bread.

MAX I love my food and wine
