We're heading into cooler weather now, and it's so tempting to rug up for the cooler seasons and hibernate. On-The-House is determined to find you good reasons to fight the overwhelming instinct to only come out when we reach spring!

Here's what's newly listed this week

TELENY - the story of the publication of this book in 1893 is almost a novel in itself, and although never verified it is believed to have been written by an ensemble group featuring Oscar Wilde. Adapted by Barry Lowe, the performance has been described as "bold and energetic" (full review bySamesame). On-The-House still has complimentary tickets (pay the admin fee only) and also discounted tickets for performances on June 11 and 15.

QUILLS - On-The-House have been lucky enough to obtain discounted tickets to the preview of this award winning play on August 1st. It is 1814 in the lunatic asylum Charenton where the French aristocrat, philosopher, writer and pornographer, the Marquis de Sade, is passing time by wielding his quill. This will be the Victorian premiere and directed by award-winning Mockingbird Artistic Director Chris Baldock assisted by Soren Jensen.

FOOTY FUNATICS - rabbit season? duck season? Nope it's footy season. On-The-House has tickets for the next 3 Wednesday night shows, featuring players from Hawthorn, Richmond and Essendon respectively. Check out the video on our facebook page to see what the night is like!

ME 'N ME MATES - Rediscovering Australia’s heritage in song, story, language and humour. In the tradition of Henry Lawson, Banjo Paterson and Slim Dusty we celebrate the country, characters and roots of Australia’s identity in song and spoken word. Presented with warmth and dry, irreverent humour in a relaxed atmosphere – appeals to young and old alike. Featuring: Peter Michell, Chris John & Lachy Bruce, we have complimentary tickets (pay the admin fee only) to performances on June 21st at the Whitmore Hotel, or on June 22nd at historic Ayers House at the family friendly time of 5pm.

THE LAUGH STAND @ FBI SOCIAL WITH MIKEY ROBINS - June 19th is the next comedy night at The Laugh Stand at the Kings Cross Hotel. It's a Funny Flink - sneak out for a cheeky rendezvous with the best big name, pro and rising comedians. Mikey is your MC, with feature act Chris Wainwright (winner of the RAW comedy award in 1999), CJ Delling, Danny Giles, Jarred Keane, Sean Michaels, Scott Thomson and visiting American star Toby Muresianu!
