The Mudcakes are children's entertainers based in Australia and loved around the universe! Their quirky, fantastic and highly interactive music show will have monkeys, big and small, up singing and dancing. You might even find yourself onstage being a puppeteer, a cheerleader, banging a drum or tooting a kazoo! Perfect for ages 2-6 years and their music loving folks. Featuring lots of cool instruments, flying monkeys, a roving magician, a face painter and the world famous family team dance competition, with sold out shows at Melbourne Recital Centre and The Famous Spiegeltent.
After the show, be sure to join musicians Rick Plant and Sherry Rich from The Mudcakes to find out fun facts, kazoo history and learn how to play the world's cutest instrument. Explore some crazy sounds (insects, animals, machines) and show off your new skills. By the end of this workshop, you will be tooting along in the Kazoo Jam Orchestra! Best of all, everyone gets their very own high quality, child safe, unbreakable kazoo to decorate and take home. A smash hit at the Melbourne Jazz Festival and The Christchurch KidsFest in New Zealand, this workshop is a simple and fun way to inspire children to play a music instrument. Suitable for ages 4-12 years.
