    McLaren Vale $20.00

I have been impressed yet again by a McLaren Vale wine only this time itís a white wine, HUGO 2011 Black Label Chardonnay (Estate Grown).

This means that fruit for this wine comes from the Estate vineyard and not out sourced from far and wide as now happens with so many of our wines.

The first thing that hooked me in was the nose clean and fresh with hints of green citrus that flowed through to the palate, soft lime still a little tight at the moment adding to its charm, interesting with just a hint of green melon showing on the finish.

Find a BYO Thai restaurant and take a bottle 2011 HUGO with you and enjoy!
It goes with prawns, chicken, and works a treat with pork.

Conclusion: Itís a smart wine for the price and food loves it.

Michael Lillis I love my food and wine
And make a living from both
