  • What’s coming out of the hood? Latest releases

There seems to be a veritable outpouring of musical recording and releasing from our little ol’ town St Kilda, & surrounds of course.  Man I can’t keep up with it!
It’s like every week your faithful SKRC reporters are checkin out a new EP or album release, a video launch, an online launch, a whole lot of raunch, pheweeee can’t keep up.
The creative juices are certainly flowing with a vengeance (cross your legs people you never know).

First up whack this date in your diary cos on Sat 25 June Delsinki Records are hosting their Tokyo Rose EP launch with a difference at The Ministry of Art, St Kilda!  Art, body paint, pole dancers, video and a two level live performance.  Presale tix just $20 from try booking.

Marilyn Rose & The Thorns recently held a huge launch for their debut album Blood on the hallowed stage of the Cherry Bar .  Grab the release online or check out an upcoming live gig to get some merch in person! facebook page.

Debut’d like a boss! Citizen absolutely cranked at the Prince Public Bar showcasing their latest release Enemies on May . If you like your rock a little on the metal side, buy this album, go to one of their gigs!!!
Hot off the press The Bittersweet Kicks released their 2nd full album Eat Your Young at a huge mini festival launch in The Prince Bandroom and have only just returned from an Eastocast tour.  Like a Tasmanian Devil, these guys never stand still for long, catch them at Prince Public Bar Sunday session on the Queens brithday weekend buy the album at Pure Pop Records, on vinyl, CD, online or at the next gig!.

There are sooo many, way to many for one post.  We’ll just squueze in one more.  The fabulous saver of all furry creatures needing a new home and beautiful songwriter Vic Meehan is launching her single Sister at The Workers Club later this month.
Now remember folks, get out there dammit and buy straight from the band! Either at the show or online so the $$ go back to those who made the music!
