Comparisons to Diana Ross and Sharon Jones are bang-on. The part-Samoan songstress provides an absolute dance experience enjoyed by crowds during a string of European dates and sold-out Australian shows with ARIA nominated ‘The Bamboos’ and side-project ‘Cooking on 3 Burners’ in 2012. Somehow she has also found time to record her third solo album Still Life via Tru Thoughts – an incredible British label which is arguably the world’s leading new funk, soul and disco label since 1999, again a testament to that fact that Kylie is the most powerful and sensitive soul voice in Australia. Since its November 2012 release the album has already been tune of the day on KCRW – a highly respected radio station in California and widely recognised tastemaker for new music on a global scale. International interest has escalated. Still Life has been both feature albumand appeared on the first page of iTunes UK’s ‘Best of 2012′, played on high rotation on BB2 and BB6, and given a priority display section at Tower Records in Tokyo.  Kylie performs her album with an outstanding seven-piece band including Lance Ferguson and Graeme Pogson from The Bamboos as well as a handful of renowned musicians who have been getting audiences on their feet in a whole host of name-acts. Kylie is a born entertainer, having recorded her first song at the ago of six, and performed regularly since her teenage years. Her energy on stage is absolutely electric and it is rare to see somebody who isn’t grooving when she gets going.
