The aim of Wing Chun Kung Fu is to develop physical, mental and spiritual awareness. These elements transcend you to a higher level of life. Self-awareness, self respect and a duty to serve should be the goal of life in every martial artist. Meditate on these principles and make peace with your study of Kung Fu, a way of life.

Grandmaster William Cheung

For 30 plus years, I’ve had the privilege of knowing Grandmaster William Cheung and about the art of Wing Chun. Yet it has only been in the last four months that life has taken me to become a student at his academy in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne and I love it!

This of course beggars the question as to why it has taken me 30 years to get here. The best I can come up with is “better late than never!”

I started doing a one-hour class a week and even that was enough to give me added insight in accurately assessing the status of my health and wellbeing. This incredibly potent environment radiates energy and vitality and thankfully it seems to be infectious. I have now graduated to three hours a week with the desire to increase my investment as the pay offs are filtering into all areas of my life. Where else would I get the opportunity to be in a class with elite athletes and newcomers at the same time?

This environment is accessible to everyone. Whether your motivation is to recover from ill health or to expand your fitness levels or strive to be a world-class contender yourself.

Master Anthony Arnett

Currently in Melbourne we have one of the worlds most accomplished athletes from the powerhouse world of Kung Fu tournament fighting. Melbourne’s iconic resident Grandmaster William Cheung has invited Champion, Master Anthony Arnett from Jacksonville Florida to share with us his incomparable talents and teaching techniques during a special three-month visit to our fair city.

Master Anthony Arnett has been a student of Sifu William Cheung’s since 1984. And since 1986 he has won over 4000 trophies in full contact and non-contact tournaments.

As a teacher Master Anthony Arnett is an all round nice guy and radiates and transmits enormous energy and enthusiasm, which he generously shares with all his students.

Being a very recent Wing Chun student myself I can now boast to being one of Master Anthony Arnett’s fledgling “little dragons” and let me tell you it has been an awe inspiring awakening!

It is indeed a rare opportunity in time when an average punter such as myself can be a student in classes taught by both the world Grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu and his esteemed disciple of longstanding.

Cheung’s Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne is unique as it is Grandmasters world headquarters for this global association.

Significantly it is also a one-stop shop when it comes to all health and fitness requirements and much, much more.

As well as being the world Grandmaster of Wing Chun Kung Fu, William Cheung is one of the world’s most recognized and accomplished Doctors in Chinese medicine and is available to you by appointment.
