    Western Australia have a monopoly on producing excellent Cab Merlot blends. But a decent one can cost some serious dollars.
    I have literally stumbled across a Cabernet Merlot blend, made with grapes from the Clare Valley in South Australia. Which winery? Dunno! From all over the Clare I’d suggest.

    Clean Skin, Taster’s Choice (Dan Murphy owned) Cabernet Merlot , Clare Valley, 2009 vintage.

    This is a serious food wine, Merlot 80% Malbec 20% blend. This wine is not sweet and not for every body, however there is a Rose out there for you just keep looking.


    This rose is dry with a solid backbone of ripe acid and tannins making it a wine to think about, rather than a rose to knock back glass after glass on a summer’s day.


    Try With: A very good Seafood pizza, Tuna char grilled on the BBQ with a green bean and egg salad, Lamb cooked pink with all the trimmings
