  1. ESSENDON AND HIRDS Application to the Court is DISMISSED!

Size: 7.7 KBJustice John Middleton of the Federal Court of Australia has just dismissed the application by both the Essendon FC and James Hird that ASADA and the AFL acted unlawfully dismissed.

Justice Middleton could find no part of the application by the Essendon Football Club or James Hird could be upheld

Unless the club and Hird appeal and win that appeal, they will be liable to the immense costs that this court case will cost.

For now, the conduct of Australia's sports anti-doping agency - intensely scrutinised and criticised over the last 20 months – has been affirmed.
Justice Middleton endorsed ASADA's former CEO, Aurora Andruska, as a "truthful witness" in the Federal ...

The boardwalk / promenade for drinks

I was invited to cover the new MCC Kew Sports Club Inaugural Ball Saturday night on the 19th and I can confidently say it was a GREAT night had by all.

I've been to a few sports and bowling clubs around the traps but this one is in a league of its own. Very reminiscent of the grandeur associated with "country clubs".

MCC Kew boasts ultra modern facilities with all 21st century technology in place … just to make life more comfortable.

For 6 months Angus MacIsaac, Club Chairman. had been orchestrating renovations and final touches ensuring the night ...

Hey everyone, this is the first post of my "Jamie Redfern for Gray's Fitness" blog, and you might wonder what I'm doing, and what Gray's Fitness is actually all about.

Some might even wonder if I've possibly stuffed up the spelling of the word "Gray's", and have become a member of an exclusive health club for silver haired over 55's.

No, I got the spelling right the first time, and the hairs not all that grey .... yet.

Gray's Fitness is an amazingly successful organisation owned and managed my great mate, and former World Championship Wrestler, John Gray.

  4. Westgate Golf Club

Recently killed some time playing 9 holes of golf under and around the Westgate Bridge. Car was being serviced near in Yarraville and day before it dawned on me this mysterious oddity of a golf course was not too far away.

Having driven over it so many times as tens of thousands of folk do every day, it had always beckoned to one day be personally
xperienced. Like a handful of other 9 hole courses on patches of recreational and just outside of the concrete jungle of the city and on the fringe of its guts. I thought it may have some appeal and could be rather simple but found that is damn good course in its humble nature and really representational of Melbourne’s inner 24 hour industrial smoking west. Maybe the bridge was named ...
