Burgundy and Argentina

For those who missed last week's newsletter, there was a special offer on a range of Burgundies from Pierre Bourée, Pascal Marchand and Domaine Jean Féry.
Pierre Bourée is a family owned vigneron who owns a few select vineyards as well as buying grapes from other vineyards. Their wines are very traditional in style (aging in old oak casks, no destemming) and are made to live.
Pascal Marchand is a Canadian who only arrived in Burgundy in 1983. He quickly gained a reputation as an excellent winemaker at Domaine des Comte Armand and Domaine de la Vougeraie.
Domaine Jean Féry is a fourth generation family owned estate with 10 hectares of vines. Pascal Marchand assists in the winemaking.
These wines are very limited!! Some had only 6 bottles brought into the country. Contact us quickly for a list of what is available.*

Enrique Foster Ique Malbec 2010 from Argentina was a hit at last week's tasting. At $16.95 it is a super bargain. This special must finish on Thursday 5 July 2012. if you cannot get into our store to collect some before this, do contact us so as we can put some aside for you.

Wine of The Week
Prancing Horse The Pony Chardonnay 2011

Every so often a winery releases a second wine that is seriously good. This is one of them!
Medium lemon green in colour. Aromas of ripe peaches with some rich buttery and wheatmealy characteristics brilliantly balanced in the aromas. The palate shows mandarins and grapefruits with layers of nectarines and a nearly salty tang. The citrus flavours hang around for ages!

A special introductory price of $28.95 (Regular retail price is $31.95) per bottle. Our normal discounts still apply.

On tasting this Friday!!
