Irish band Kodaline have announced Brisbane indie-folk outfit The Trouble With Templeton to join them on a run of national tour dates this April.

Both Kodaline and The Trouble with Templeton should not be missed at the following venues The Hi-Fi in Brisbane on Tuesday 1st April, then Sydney’s Metro Theatreon Wednesday 2nd April, the Prince Bandroom in Melbourne on Saturday 5th April, The Gov in Adelaide on Tuesday 8th April, and wrapping up in Perth with a show at the Astor Theatre on Thursday 10th April.

Going from a solo bedroom project to a full 5-piece band The Trouble with Templeton have had a massive 18 months, touring the US twice with over 20 shows throughout the East and West coast, including shows at SxSW, CMJ and CMW, including playing with international artists (Of Monsters And Men, Father John Misty, Half Moon Run, Jake Bugg). Back at home, they were fast becoming crowd favorites when supporting the likes of Julia Stone, Sparkadia, Husky and Matt Corby. On August the 2nd 2013, TTWT released their first LP ROOKIE. The first two singles - Six Months In A Cast and Like A Kid - cracked Top 10 of both the Triple J airplay and AIR Independent airplay charts, achieved solid rotation on Rage and Channel V. It was uncompromisingly unique, not molding to any style or genre. The album was full of bold storytelling and left a distinct musical impression.
This is what the Australian press had to say:

“Equally fuelled by dissonance and shivers as by soaring melodies and handclaps, Rookie wrenches alt.rock from its indie daydream and tosses it into a well-informed blend that make the kids look more like the connoisseur than the novice.” – Drum Media

“It’s his voice and those lyrics that are going to lunge The Trouble With Templeton into “something special” territory.” – Album of the Week, Herald Sun

“The deeper you go into this full-length LP, the richer the colour and the detail.” **** - Album of the Week, Courier Mail

“Rookie is an outstanding step forward for The Trouble With Templeton, and one that will surely bring you back again and again for more.” – Tone Deaf

Kodaline on the other hand have been playing together since 15. Growing up in a small Irish town of Swords, before joining the local band circuit in Dublin. Their debut 11 track LP In A Perfect World All I Want has been received with open arms by the international press. With beautiful tracks like All I Want coupled with the story of a modern day 'monster' winning over a blonde colleague, has racked up over 1.5 million views online.

These shows are set to be a gorgeous evening of music not to be missed.
