With less than a week to go before Sydney Opening Night, the Antenna Documentary Festival program is filled with an array of the world’s best documentaries and welcomes an exceptional group of local and international guests.

The 2013 Festival will screen 37 feature films, including 25 Australian premieres, three film competitions with cash prizes, DocTalk sessions, international guests and a special retrospective program.

This year's opening night film is the Australian premiere of The Network, screening as part of the Australian Competition. Oscar-winning Australian filmmaker Eva Orner explores the challenges and excitement as a television station is built in Afghanistan, and reveals the power television has in changing a society.
