BETWEEN THE WARS + AREA 7 + RIBBONS PATTERNS + THE SHADOW LEAGUE
Melbourne folk punk band*BETWEEN THE WARS*are launching their new album “Won’t Go Quietly” in the*Espy Front Bar*on*Saturday 27 April.
Between The Wars have moved away from the traditional celtic sound of their previous recordings and have adopted a more folk punk approach. They took their influential cues for this album from Frank Turner, Jamie Hay, the Smith Street Band, the Decemberists and Midlake.
Special guests of the night will be ska kings*AREA 7. Rising from the ashes of a Madness cover band back in the early nineties, Area 7 brought us catchy songs like ‘Nobody Likes A Bogan’ and ‘Second Class Citizen’ and ‘Bitter Words’ – Area 7 are looking forward to closing out what should be an epic night of throwing shapes, hitting marks and just a feel-good time..
