ADELAIDE REVIEWS
SUPPORTING THE RUBENS
HQ COMPLEX, THURSDAY 16 MAY 2013
Teresa Busuttil, The AU Review
I arrived at HQ as Ohio's*Walk the Moon*were busting out tunes with extremely high energy. Decked out with face paint, they had the audience ready and rearing for the rest of the night and although they’re virtually unheard of in Adelaide everyone seemed to joyously bounce along to their tunes exposing a whole lot of people to their infectious indie-pop songs and securing a whole lot of new fans. “Tightrope” and “Quesadilla” shone as crowd favorites.

Rob Lyon, Rip It Up

Social media has been all over Ohio support act*Walk The Moon,*and it's a justified hype.*This band was that great I bought the CD after the show. Their performance lifted the spirits in the room to no end, getting punters jumping around instantaneously to their catchy pop-infused tunes. The Rubens recently toured the US with these guys, and now roles are reversed repaying the favour. How do they sound? Think a blend beteween The Killers and The*Wombats with the band fronted by lead singer Nicholas Petricca, who*showcased an impressive vocal range that commanded the attention of the crowd during awesome tunes like*Next In Line, Tightrope*and*Anna Sun.*It was a very ballsy move to pull out a David Bowie cover Let’s Dance*mid-set but the tune successfully lifted the roof.

Mel Anderson, Triple M

Ohio boys Walk the Moon got us moving with upbeat poppy rock - they were fun (and unfailingly polite!) midwestern-Americans who had nothing but praise for the Rubens who they’d toured with in the past.
