Piedmont Italy

Tried something on the weekend that I havenít tasted for ages. A glowing straw colored Toso Moscato D'Asti
And I had forgotten just how good this wine is.
First thing that will surprise you is its pure sweet flavours.

Then wow, small bubbles fill your mouth with a palate cleansing fizz and a hint of acid that fades quickly into the background.

Not giving too much away on the nose this wine is quite aromatic when in the mouth.

Conclusion: Its only 5.5%. So you can enjoy a glass or two over lunch. Yes it is sweet however the fizz with a little acid gives this wine the edge over most sweet wines because itís not cloying and thick.

Back home in Piedmont this wine would be enjoyed with fruit light deserts and so on, me I enjoyed it with salt and pepper squid tossed with fresh chilies, best of all is you can just drink it and enjoy it by it self.

Michael Lillis I love my food and wine
